HOW TO REMOVE POOP STAINS FROM THE CARPET?

FIRST STEP: Pick the Poop

Act quickly! put on the gloves, grab a paper towel and pick as much poop as possible (if poop is in solid form), else scoop up the poop from the surface of the carpet. Don’t use force to avoid the spread of poop stain to a larger area.

If the poop is in liquid form (during diarrhoea), use multiple moist paper towels to absorb as much material as possible from the carpet fibres. Press the carpet fibres gently so that the excess poop gets absorbed by the paper towel.

Throw the used paper towels in the trash bags and discard them later.

NEXT STEP: Prepare Poop Stain Removing Solution

Add a portion of a half tablespoon of dish-washing liquid, one tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 cups of Luke warm water in a spray bottle. Close the lid and shake the bottle well to prepare the solution.
Spray the solution directly on the poop stain (you can pour the solution directly if you don’t have a spray bottle) and let the solution stay on the poop stain for 5 mins before you blot it with a white cloth.
Continue spraying the solution and blotting the stain till it gets completely removed or no longer get absorbed in the white cloth.
Put some water and blot dry.
Put some baking soda after drying the stain with a white cloth. Let the baking soda rest for a few hours to a day.
Vacuum the carpet, and you have fresh new sparkling carpet.

Do You Need To Use Hydrogen Peroxide?

If the above steps didn’t remove the stain completely, apply a drop of hydrogen peroxide to the stain.
Make sure to first check the instructions on the carpet label.
Put cold water and blot dry the stain.
